1963
Mr. O’Neil’s namesake company and the first of his companies was launched as an institutional investment advisor and brokerage to Portfolio Managers, Banks, Corporations, and Hedge Fund Managers.
1974
O’Neil Data Systems was established in 1974 in Los Angeles, California, entering the high-volume print and publishing industry with pioneering innovations in typesetting and print automation. Building on this foundation, O’Neil Digital Solutions was later launched to deliver high-speed, time-sensitive printing services and has since evolved into a global leader, offering a cutting-edge SaaS CCM-CXM platform.
1978
In 1978, O’Neil introduced one of the first data-driven composition systems, revolutionizing the way personalized documents were produced. This innovation enabled the company to efficiently generate customized communications, setting a new standard in the industry.
1984
Mr. O’Neil designed and launched Investor’s Daily (later renamed Investor’s Business Daily®), the first national business newspaper to compete successfully with The Wall Street Journal to give investors access to the same data, research, and tools professional investors use. Investors Daily included an abundance of educational content to help investors learn how to invest. Mr. O’Neil conducted nationwide seminars and workshops to help investors succeed in the market.
2005
The launch of ONEsuite 1.0 in 2005 marked O’Neil’s transition into digital communications. This Customer Communications Management (CCM) platform provided clients with tools to manage and deliver personalized content across multiple channels, enhancing customer engagement.
2008
In 2008, O’Neil was chosen by HP as the beta site for the new HP Inkjet T300 Digital Press, the fastest digital press in the world at the time. This collaboration positioned O’Neil at the forefront of digital printing technology.
2010
Continuing their partnership, HP and O’Neil unveiled the HP Inkjet T200 Press in 2010. This press offered enhanced speed and quality, further advancing O’Neil’s digital printing capabilities.
2011
O’Neil expanded its operations by opening a second print facility in Plano, Texas, in 2011. This strategic move allowed the company to better serve clients across the United States.
2011
In the same year, HP and O’Neil introduced the HP Inkjet T400 Press, featuring the industry's widest digital web press at 42 inches. This advancement enabled higher-volume and more versatile printing solutions.
2012
The release of ONEsuite 2.0 in 2012 brought enhanced self-service capabilities, allowing clients to manage content and composition more efficiently. This update improved user autonomy and streamlined communication workflows.
2013
By 2013, O’Neil had installed 13 HP Inkjet presses, becoming the largest installation of its kind globally. This milestone underscored the company's commitment to cutting-edge printing technology.
2014
Reflecting its evolution and focus on digital communications, O’Neil Data Systems rebranded as O’Neil Digital Solutions in 2014. The new name signified the company's commitment to delivering comprehensive digital solutions.
2015
In 2015, O’Neil expanded its national footprint by opening a third print facility in Monroe, near Charlotte, North Carolina. This 120,000-square-foot center enhanced the company's capacity to serve clients in the eastern United States.
2018
The 2018 launch of ONEsuite 3.0 introduced advanced eDelivery and document management features. These enhancements allowed clients to deliver communications more efficiently across digital platforms.
2020
O’Neil Digital Solutions launches a new release of it’s flagship ONEsuite platform, an enterprise CCM, CXM and Digital Transformation solution. ONEsuite enables enterprises to achieve their digital transformation goals while effectively improving customer communications. The ONEsuite SaaS platform has been designed to solve all customer communication objectives of an organization, including Content Creation, Content Management and Delivery, Omni-Channel Communications, Sales & Marketing Communications, and Data Analytics Driven by Artificial Intelligence.
2023
In 2023, O’Neil released ONEsuite 4.0, incorporating sophisticated data analytics and campaign management tools. This version empowered clients to create more targeted and effective communication strategies.
2024
By 2024, O’Neil had achieved the production of 5.5 billion digital 8.5x11 pages across its three facilities, demonstrating its scale and efficiency in handling high-volume digital communications.
2025
The 2025 launch of ONEsuite 5.0 introduced a robust SaaS infrastructure and advanced AI capabilities. These features provided clients with enhanced scalability and intelligent automation for their communication needs.
